What a year we've had!

Another year has come to an end and, as usual, I always take some time around New Years to sum up the past year. And I can honestly say that this year – as well as last year – has been intense. We’ve achieved a lot, and I thought I’d remind you of some of this year’s highlights. So here it is – my “Top Folklore Moments of 2019”:

Collaborating with talented people. We’ve been making time a number of collaborations this year. From talented designers like Kreativa Karin and Hanna Karlzon making beautiful patterns. To TrendStefan and his funny misheard lyrics and not to mention custom made Christmas patterns with Åhlens and Forsman & Bodenfors.

We have traveled the world. In Phoenix we participate in the biggest trade show for craft – Creativation. We were one of 4 chosen international “Innovation Finalists”. After that, we were off to fantastic Tokyo in April, to meet with future business partners...

Humbled by the recognition. We were chosen as one of the “Innovation Finalists” at “Creativation”. I’ve been selected as one of 10 women lead tech companies to participate in the first FemTach Bootcamp in Sweden. Recently we also won the British Build Magazine’s Home and Garden Awards in the category “Best Pre designed wall-hangings 2019 - Sweden”.

We have grown. There has been a lot of new this year. A new investor, a new board, a new office. And what better to put in that office than new talented people for the Folklore crew. With Carita, Marie and Louise on the team we can now move faster towards our humble goal of world domination.

Last but certainly not least – there’s you! So thankful to see all the fantastic fans that have spread the word about The Folklore Company this year! Our products have been on TV in Brottsjournalen. They have made their way to tv-personality/author Mark Levengood, actress/kick ass fighter Eva Röse and the Swedish Minister of Culture and Democracy Alice Bah Kunhke. It has been fantastic. But mostly we love seeing them in your hands and homes. Maybe you’ll design our next pattern?

It’s been a great year, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve 2019!

Wish you all a Happy New Year!

Best,

Sofia
